Here at Archie Rose, we don’t just get into the Christmas spirit – we drink it. We also host a suite of fun, downright Christmasy classes at our old distillery in Sydney this time of year, so everyone can get involved and be merry. From candle making to cocktail shaking and a Christmas wreath masterclass that will level up your front door decoration, we’ve got a class schedule that’s bursting at the seams with festive frivolity. So gather your friends, get your mum on the phone and send a message to the work crew, class is now in session!
*The ‘Blend Your Own Christmas Gin’ Class
Tis the season for themed drinks! We’re putting a spin on our ‘Blend Your Own Gin’ Class this silly season and giving you (and your nearest and dearest) the opportunity to create your very own Christmas gin. We’ll guide you through the process as you blend a carefully curated selection of Archie Rose traditional gin and native botanical distillates including honey, orange, star anise, ginger, apple, cassia, peach and juniper. You’ll then create two 200ml bottles of your Christmas gin to take home and leave out for Santa, or to gift to the gin lover in your life.
*The ‘Scented Candle Making’ Class
We think you’ll strike a match with this next class. There’s no better time to discover the magic of crafting your very own candle – especially when it’s repurposed in an Archie Rose bottle. Inspired by the native and local botanicals and malts behind our spirits including lemon myrtle, juniper and lime, you’ll create a bespoke candle to pair with a 700ml bottle of Archie Rose spirit in a gorgeous gift set. Everyone knows that gin helps get the creative juices flowing, so you’ll be greeted with a complimentary welcome G&T on arrival, and have the opportunity to order from a selection of delicious bites to further fuel your creativity. We’ll help you choose your scents and also host a spirit tasting before you get stuck into candle crafting. This one’s happening on 3 December 2023 and runs for approximately 1.5 hours. *The ‘Christmas Wreath Making’ Workshop
For the crafty among us, we bring you the ‘Christmas Wreath Making’ workshop. Guided by the ever so clever Chief Designer, Nikki Zeng, at Peony Story, you’ll learn how to create natural and European-style Christmas wreaths with fresh-looking preserved foliage and everlasting flowers to carry on the festive fun well beyond December 25. Tickets for this experience must close 24 hours prior to the event so Peony Story can organise all the gorgeous flowers and raw materials required ahead of time. Finally, a heads up: this event sold out last year because who doesn’t love gin, floral arrangements and tasty snacks? No one! Don’t miss out – lock it in, Eddie.
